WHAT IS THE PTA ABOUT?

What We Do

Mokena PTA supports activities and programs at all three Mokena School District 159 schools.
PTA addresses issues that are important to parents and public school administrators. We fight for full funding, quality teachers, and capabilities for schools to thrive.

District 159 PTA Values:

Collaboration:

We will work in partnership with the Mokena Educational Foundation, Board of Education and School Administration to broaden and enhance our ability to serve and advocate for all children and families.

Commitment:

We are dedicated to children’s educational success, health, and well-being through
strong family and community engagement, while remaining accountable to the current by-laws.

Diversity:

We acknowledge the potential of everyone without regard, including but not limited to: age, culture, economic status, educational background, ethnicity, gender, geographic location, legal status, marital status, mental ability, national origin, organizational position, parental status, physical ability, political philosophy, race, religion, sexual orientation, and work experience.

Respect:

We value the individual contributions of members, employees, volunteers, and community partners as we work collaboratively to achieve our goals of the Mokena PTA.

Who are we?

The Mokena PTA is made up of Teachers, Staff, and Parents from all three schools in the Mokena 159 school district. Additionally community members of the Mokena 159 District are encouraged to join!
